No Denial

Country Netherlands

No Denial was a dutch hardcore band that was around from 2001 until 2004. They started as a three piece project with Big, Pepijn and Jigs. Originally the music was meant to be old school hardcore but short before No Denail hit the Bunt Studio they threw most of the songs away and wrote songs that were inspired by heavy (not metal) hardcore in the vein of early Cro-Mags. It wasn't sure if No Denial would turn into a real band yet but when they recorded the infamous "Soundtrack of Decline" album it was no other choice to continue what they already started. With the addition of Piet and Nobert they became a full band and started playing shows. In July 2002 No Denial recorded "No Fear", a song that appeared on the "One Track Mind" LP compilation. In Spring 2004 the band recorded the "Crossing Beyond Illusions Currents" MCD which originally was meant to be a full length album. It was already clear that No Denial would break up later this year and these songs were the last ones the band recorded. On December 17th and 18th No Denial played two farewel shows in Den Haag and Hengelo esp. the last show at the Innocent in Hengelo was their best show ever.
